Snow isn’t fun when you’re an adult!

I wake up today and wouldn’t ya know it, it’s snowing. We’ve had a solid three or four day dumping of snow on us. I love it. Looks cool and shit. But it’s not the same as when I was a kid.

We all remember being anxious little kids getting up earlier then we ever did to see if we had a SNOW DAY!!!! Get to stay home all day play in the snow, no school work, just busy being a kid. Living the fucking dream! As a kid I was always about building a snow man and knocking it down. I was kind of a dick. Snowball fights too oh man! Chucking a straight ice ball at the neighborhood asshole just go teach him a lesson. Then saying “I didn’t know it was ice” when it knocks out some teeth. Even just being able to sit at home and hangout with your siblings and parents was awesome.

Sadly, when you’re an adult there are no snow days. You have bills and responsibilities. Your boss isn’t going to call and say “no work today” it’ll sound more like “you’re coming in today right?”. I really don’t have a problem with it. I have an outside job where essentially I get too “play” in the snow. I still get that feel of being outside in the snow like a chunky Eskimo. I do have to say, I wouldn’t mind an old school snow day though! Maybe add that into my benefits package? One or two paid snow days for the year? FUCKIN DEEEECENT!

Times likes these really make me wish I was a little lad like back in day. Not a care in the world just busy being a badass in my snow fort. But America, I think it’s time adults get to relive their childhood. We should be able to escape from the bills and the daily grind and get to let loose. #AdultsNeedSnowDaysToo
